Pine dowry chest salvaged from the Balkan area. End of XIX century circa. For centuries, it has been custom for brides to use these chests to bring textiles, clothes and jewlery with them.

Very rich floral decoration on each side of the chest. The angular elements are made of iron, giving the pieace a very fine and interesting touch.
