A wonderful early XVIII century oak table salvaged from a monastery in Southern France. The table consists of three solid planks attached to tapered legs with wooden pegs. The table has many engravings on its top, mostly initials, which we decided not to remove during the restoration in order to preserve all its history. Rich dark patina and simple and essential lines.

A vernacular bench in oak wood from the XVIII century found in central Italy in its original weathered patina. The bench was beautifully shaped by the natural elements and passage of time and that is the main reason we fell in love with it. Some parts such as the left armrest have missing parts which have been naturally smoothed and are soft to the touch. Fully restored in a conservative way.

We found this gem in a remote area of Piedmont, hidden away between the Italian Alps and we immediately fell in love with its wonderful rawness. A set of two sections of frames decorated with rhombus motifs and dating back to the XVII century. These decorative frames were typical of the houses of the Greeks who settled down in various Apulian villages in the previous centuries and were used to adorn entrances, ceilings and windows. The two frames are fully restored but in worn conditions, especially to the back.

A wonderful armoire with original patina salvaged in the area of Saluzzo, Piedmont, which dates back to the XVIII century. The piece has raise paneled doors attached to the main structure with unusual mustache hinges. There are five shelves to the inside and lock, key and forged nails are all original. The whole armoire is demountable which facilitates its transport and collocation. It was restored in a conservative way, all its original charm has been kept.

A set of two hand painted panels that were once part of the roof of a traveling theatre, typical of the Italian town fairs in the late 1800’s – early 1900’s. Both sides of the panels are embellished with floral and geometrical decorations. They can be used as decorative panels on a wall or leaning on a console table. Our first day in Piedmont was extremely successful and we've already managed to purchase some wonderful pieces that we cannot wait to bring back to our warehouse in Puglia. Mostly primitive furniture with organic shapes and essential lines that would fit well in any kind of space. We will explore the area further until the end of this week and then head to Turin for the Gran Balon market.

Proudly self-taught and following a prominent career as a creative director which ultimately focused on achieving visual perfection, Jared’s art draws on the very opposite, celebrating not the flawlessness, but the flaw. It demonstrates a visceral rawness that nonetheless retains a haunting beauty through its composition. His work is boldly expressive. Layering mediums at first appear aggressive, but subtly so. Jared's recent works are inspired by his love of renaissance Italian architecture and the aging Palazzos of Milan and Florence. Peeling, cracked walls offer a refined rawness. Hidden layers are revealed with striking elegance. Applying various mediums to create age and texture, there is something alluring about the passage of time made visible.
