Chiprovtski Kilim II

Chiprovtski Kilim II

A dove-grey and blu Chiprovtski kilim with two identical sides. The name of these kilims comes from the name of the village where they are still made using old knitting techniques and local textiles. These kilims have been made in Chiprovtski since the XXVII century and each of them can take up to several months to be finished. In this region, the knitting techniques are considered as a great heritage and are transmitted from one generation to the other.

Since a few years, in order to certify the quality and authenticity of their kilims ,local producers must apply a label to them.
