Primordial Sculptural Cabinet
Primordial Sculptural Cabinet
A breathtaking cabinet salvaged from the remote village of Saint Veran, French Alps, dating back to the XVIII century. Made of larch, a tree that grows only on high altitude, this piece required great craftmanship. The panels are all hand carved using primordial stools – hence the different size of the doors. This kind of furniture were manufactured in remote areas with the materials that were available. The horizontal uprights extend all the way to the front profile giving the cabinet amazing proportions. A very rare piece and a true gem!
